Morocco hosts major cultural and sporting events in 2026

Morocco is hosting several major cultural and sporting events. The 17th edition of the Casablanca Marathon is scheduled for October 25, 2026, under the patronage of King Mohammed VI. The event, themed ‘Vibe Casa’, will feature a full marathon, a half-marathon, and a 4x10.5 km relay, aiming for record participation with both national and international athletes.

In Tangier, the 23rd edition of the Tanjazz festival will take place from September 18 to 20, 2026. The program includes jazz, soul, and flamenco, featuring artists such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and Buena Vista All Stars.

The Marrakech Film Festival (MARRAKECHsFF) features an international jury led by Turkish actress Tûba Büyüküstün, alongside a national jury headed by Moroccan actor Rachid El Ouali. Additionally, the Bahia Palace in Marrakech remains a significant architectural landmark, representing 19th-century Alawid Moroccan style with its intricate Zellij tile work and Moorish design.
