Casablanca security reinforced with new mobile emergency police unit
The General Directorate of National Security has officially launched a new mobile emergency police unit (UMPS) in the Ain Sebaâ Hay Mohammadi area of Casablanca. This initiative is part of an integrated strategy to expand emergency police teams across various districts of the economic capital to better serve a growing population and expanding urban areas.
The new unit is operationally linked to the main command and coordination center in Casablanca and the local coordination hall in Ain Sebaâ Hay Mohammadi. This connection allows for the management of communications via the 19 emergency line and the urban camera surveillance network, ensuring precise deployment of field patrols.
To ensure rapid response, the unit is equipped with modern motorcycles and vehicles integrated with precise location-tracking devices. Officers will operate 24/7 on a rotational basis, utilizing advanced communication tools and body-worn cameras to document interventions and ensure transparency and professionalism.
