Casablanca to host economic conference on urban development

Morocco Business Catalyst is organizing a local economic conference in Casablanca on August 25, 2026, at the Zefzafi Theater in Maarif. Held under the “Casa Anfa – The New Factory of the Future” initiative, the event aims to bring together residents, economic actors, entrepreneurs, and experts to discuss the future of the local economy and quality of life.

The conference focuses on three primary pillars: simplification, preservation, and digitalization. The simplification pillar seeks to streamline administrative procedures for economic licenses and improve the relationship between citizens and local institutions. This includes making it easier for residents to report and track public service issues, such as infrastructure repairs.

The preservation pillar emphasizes protecting Casablanca’s economic, cultural, and urban heritage while rehabilitating its neighborhoods to increase attractiveness. The initiative aims to move from merely diagnosing urban problems to proposing practical, measurable solutions for those living, working, or investing in the city.
