Casademont Zaragoza and Meins Avenida secure European basketball victories

Spanish basketball clubs achieved significant wins in European competitions. Casademont Zaragoza defeated Lithuanian side Kibirkstis-Toks 77-55 in a EuroLeague matchup at the Principe Felipe pavilion. Despite a slow start against the undefeated visitors, Zaragoza took control in the second quarter, led by performances from Aisha Sheppard, Carla Brito, and Ornella Bankole. The defense proved decisive, limiting their opponents to only six points during the third quarter.

In the Eurocup, Meins Avenida secured their first victory outside of Salamanca by defeating Basket Namur. Despite facing roster challenges with players like Fassina, Brown, Santibañez, and Canella dealing with various issues, Avenida utilized a strong defensive strategy and fast-break attacks to build a significant lead. The team entered halftime with a 44-23 advantage, driven by the play of Marta Canella and Soriano.
