CASAL labor negotiations end without agreement at TRT hearing

Labor negotiations between CASAL and its union reached an impasse during a hearing at the Regional Labor Court (TRT) on September 9. While a court injunction established a 6% salary increase, the union requested that this same percentage be applied to all other economic clauses and social benefits within the Collective Labor Agreement (ACT).

CASAL management countered with a proposal of zero percent for all other items, citing the previously granted 6% salary adjustment as sufficient. The union characterized this move as a regression from previous negotiations where the company had committed to inflation adjustments for all clauses. A new hearing has been scheduled for September 15 to resolve the deadlock.
