Casalgrande resident reported for threatening neighbor with a knife

A long-standing neighborhood dispute in Casalgrande, Reggio Emilia, escalated into a violent confrontation on October 14. The conflict involved two families living in the same building, fueled by daily frictions and disagreements regarding shared spaces and vehicle parking.

The situation reached a breaking point in the late afternoon when a 30-year-old male resident brandished a 30-centimeter kitchen knife during a heated argument with a 57-year-old female neighbor. The man reportedly made intimidating threats, telling the woman, “stai attenta, finisci male” (watch out, you'll end up badly).

Following an emergency call to 112, the Carabinieri from the Casalgrande station intervened. Upon arrival, officers found the situation still highly tense in the building's courtyard. After searching the man's apartment, authorities seized the knife and reported the individual to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Reggio Emilia for aggravated threat. The suspect has been released pending further investigation.
