Casalgrande galleria on SP467R closed for LED lighting upgrade

From 3 August to 31 August the galleria on the SP467R in the municipality of Casalgrande will be closed for a relamping project. The existing lighting fixtures are being replaced with LED units to cut energy consumption, extend service life and improve illumination. The work is carried out by Iren Smart Solutions S.p.A. with Valtellina S.p.A. as the executing contractor. Traffic is diverted onto the former alignment of the SP467R and will be restored once the works are finished, possibly before the scheduled end date.

The upgrade is funded as a free improvement under the province’s Global Service programme, so the Province of Reggio Emilia incurs no extra cost. Province president Giorgio Zanni and Casalgrande mayor Giuseppe Daviddi said the timing was chosen to minimise disruption during the low‑traffic summer period and that the project is essential for safety and efficiency.
