Casan implements sanitation works and new connections in Santa Catarina

The Companhia Catarinense de Águas e Saneamento (Casan) is implementing sanitation infrastructure projects in Santa Catarina, affecting traffic and service connections in different regions.

In Florianópolis, construction of a sewage lifting station on Rua Mané Vicente in the Monte Verde neighborhood will cause traffic disruptions starting Tuesday, the 13th. The works involve blocking two lanes between numbers 784 and 846, which will also impact public transport, specifically line 169. The project is expected to last approximately 60 business days, subject to weather conditions. Residents are advised not to connect to the sewage network until official authorization is provided via their water bill.

In Bom Jardim da Serra, Casan has authorized 88 new units in the Cohab Derli Borges de Carvalho, Divino Espírito Santo, and Horto Florestal neighborhoods to connect to the external sewage collection network. Residents were notified via their September water bills. Service fees for collection and treatment will begin appearing on bills in October or November, calculated at 100% of the water consumption value.
