Casas Bahia auctions appliances following major store closures

Casas Bahia is conducting an auction of approximately 350 lots of household appliances through the Kwara digital platform. The auction features items such as refrigerators, stoves, and washing machines, with some bids starting as low as R$ 305. Notable items include Electrolux, Consul, and Brastemp refrigerators.

This liquidation follows the closure of 298 Casas Bahia stores across Brazil, a move that resulted in a R$ 10 billion loss and the dismissal of over 1,900 employees. One specific kit containing 15 products, including air fryers and coffee makers from brands like Philco and Oster, was sold for R$ 1,814, representing a 40% discount from its reference value.

Potential buyers are advised that items are sold in their current condition, originating from reverse logistics processes. Products may have scratches, dents, or missing components, and they are sold without a guarantee of functionality or the right to exchange. All items must be collected from the company's warehouse in Jundiaí, São Paulo.
