Casas Bahia launches virtual appliance and electronics auction

Casas Bahia has launched a virtual auction featuring various lots of appliances, electronics, and IT equipment, with discounts reaching up to 68%. The auction, conducted via the Kwara platform, includes items such as refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, and small appliances like blenders and air fryers. Bidding is scheduled to conclude on Tuesday, the 25th.

The company clarified that this auction is a recurring practice involving products from its Technical Assistance Department (DAT) and is not related to its recent judicial recovery request. The items are sold in their current condition, which may include customer returns, reverse logistics goods, or items with scratches, missing parts, or security locks. Some lots may even consist of scrap.

Participants must register on the Kwara platform and follow specific bidding rules. Upon approval, payments must be made via PIX or credit card. Buyers are responsible for arranging transportation and scheduled pickup. Due to increased interest following the company's judicial recovery filing, officials have warned against fraudulent websites and advised users to ensure they are using the official Kwara domain.
