Cascais City Council uses 175,000 euros in PRR funds for school inauguration
The Cascais City Council spent 175,000 euros from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) to organize two events for the inauguration of the new Cascais Secondary School. One of these events included the participation of the Prime Minister and the President of the Republic.
Regarding the expenditure, the Presidency of the Republic declined to comment. Representatives for Nuno Piteira Lopes stated that the PRR Communication and Information Guide requires beneficiaries of strategic operations or interventions exceeding 10 million euros to organize communication activities with relevant media impact. The construction of the school involved a total investment of over 32 million euros, with approximately 24 million euros funded by the PRR.
The council organized two major communication moments: an ‘open day’ on September 5 for the local community and students, and an official inauguration attended by over 600 people, including Luís Montenegro and António José Seguro.
