Cascais hosts Festas do Mar festival with diverse musical lineup

The Festas do Mar festival begins in Cascais, Portugal, running through August 30. The event features a diverse lineup of over 30 performances across eight nights, held at locations including the Cascais Bay, the Cidadela, and Jardim Visconde da Luz.

The opening night features performances by Carolina Quintas, Carlão, and Brazilian singer Daniela Mercury. The festival's programming includes a mix of established artists and new talents, such as Diogo Piçarra, Matias Damásio, David Fonseca, and Dillaz.

In addition to music, the festival offers gastronomy, crafts, and activities for children. The event will conclude on August 30 with the traditional procession in honor of Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes, followed by performances by Murta and DJ Kamala, the Cascais Symphony Orchestra, and a traditional fireworks display over the bay.
