Casciana Terme inaugurates new early childhood education hub

Casciana Terme has inaugurated a new early childhood education hub (Polo per l’Infanzia 0-6) as part of a broader reorganization of the local school network. The new complex establishes a continuous educational path for children, spanning from nursery school through lower secondary school.

The project involved relocating the nursery school from Parlascio to Casciana and constructing a new block for nursery and kindergarten services, which is integrated with existing primary and secondary buildings. The facility features common play areas, a multifunctional hall for events and meetings, and modern sustainable infrastructure including heat pumps, mechanical ventilation, and photovoltaic panels.

Funding for the project was provided through several sources, including 2.82 million euros from the PNRR, 1.03 million euros from the Fund for Indispensable Works, 242,000 euros from the Municipality, and 465,000 euros from the Tuscany Region. An additional 220,000 euros from the PNRR was allocated for innovative furnishings.
