Caserta man claims he researched home births following newborn discovery

A man in Caserta has provided his account regarding the discovery of a newborn baby, claiming he had previously searched the internet for instructions on how to assist a home birth.

During an interview on the program ‘Verità Nascoste - Il Diario’, the father explained that he contacted the 118 emergency services claiming he had found a baby on the street. However, it has since emerged that the infant is his own child. He stated that he was in a state of extreme anxiety and agitation during the night, which prevented him from acting with clarity.

The man maintained that he never left the infant unattended and called for medical assistance once the birth had occurred. The incident has drawn significant attention due to the couple's decision to keep the pregnancy and the birth a secret from their families.
