Caserta parking management investigated for alleged mafia ties

An anti-mafia investigation in Caserta has uncovered potential links between local parking management and organized crime. Following the dissolution of the city council due to Camorra infiltration, inspectors examined the management of the former Pollio barracks.

The investigation identified companies Sea Services and Adeka Parking as being directly linked to the Dresia family. Reports indicate that the Caserta Nuova cooperative, previously managed by Nicola and Pasquale Dresia, failed after accumulating debts to the municipality. Sea Services, which secured a 3.48 million euro contract for the Pollio site in 2015, also reportedly owes approximately 380,000 euros to the city.

Inspectors detailed a network of corporate relationships and family ties among the company's founders and administrators, including members of the Dresia, Sorice, and Scarpato families. Gaetano Scarpato, who became the sole shareholder in 2023, was previously a candidate supporting former mayor Carlo Marino.
