Caserta protesters demand future for Mattei-Ferraris Institute

Over one thousand people, including students, teachers, parents, and local citizens, marched through the streets of Caserta to protest the future of the Mattei-Ferraris Institute. The demonstration was organized following the closure of the historic school building, which was declared unusable after inspections revealed seismic and structural vulnerabilities.

Currently, students have been relocated to three temporary sites that lack adequate laboratories and facilities. The protesters concluded their march at the Prefecture, where they met with officials to demand a formal dialogue with provincial institutions to address the emergency and secure a permanent solution for the school.
