Caseus 2026 showcases Italian dairy excellence in Veneto

The Caseus 2026 event, held at Villa Contarini in Piazzola sul Brenta, showcased the Italian dairy sector by bringing together 53 national DOP cheeses and 536 competing cheeses. Promoted by the Veneto Region and organized by AProLaV, the event featured over 150 food exhibitors, including producers from across Italy and international entries from Poland, Estonia, and Slovakia.

During the event, the ONAF National Farm Cheese Competition identified top producers through two evaluation phases: the ‘Giuria Aurea’ (Golden Jury) of experts and a popular jury. Maurizio Mazzarella of ONAF noted that the quality of cheeses presented this year surpassed previous editions. The program included 140 tasting sessions, cooking shows, and a market exhibition with over 200 exhibitors, highlighting the cultural and economic importance of the dairy industry.
