Casey’s launches first-ever pan pizza across 19 states
Casey’s, the Ankeny, Iowa-based convenience store chain, is introducing its first-ever pan pizza to its menu. The new product features a thick, fluffy, square crust made with olive oil, honey, sea salt, and finely milled double-zero flour.
The rollout will occur at nearly 3,000 Casey’s locations across 19 states. The company stated that the development of the recipe took approximately two years. The pan pizza option is intended to complement the chain's existing original and thin crust offerings and will be available for all menu items, including breakfast pizzas and specialty builds.
According to company data, the launch addresses a market gap, as nearly 80% of the small towns served by Casey’s lack a nearby national pan pizza provider. To mark the launch, Casey’s Rewards members who purchase a pan pizza on the release day will receive a credit for a free large, single-topping pizza redeemable within a 21-day window.
