Cash App eliminates fees on Bitcoin purchases over $2,000

Cash App, the Block‑owned fintech platform, announced that it will no longer charge transaction fees or spreads on Bitcoin purchases that exceed $2,000. The fee‑free policy also applies to all recurring and automatic Bitcoin buys, including those made through the app’s Auto Invest and Round‑Ups features. The change does not appear to be limited by region or account eligibility and is the most aggressive Bitcoin‑pricing move the service has made since it launched crypto trading in 2017. In parallel, Cash App said it is raising Bitcoin withdrawal limits, though the new caps were not disclosed. The update was noted by Block co‑founder Jack Dorsey, who praised the zero‑fee feature.
