CASHCAT memecoin turns small bets into multi‑million gains on Robinhood Chain
A trader who invested roughly €300 (or $86) in the newly launched CASHCAT token on Robinhood’s blockchain turned the stake into about €2 million, reflecting a price increase of more than 6,000 %. The token surged to a market capitalisation of roughly €145 million before falling about 40 % to around €85 million, with liquidity remaining low at roughly $6‑7 million.
Another early investor bought 20 million CASHCAT for about $69, sold the position for $711 (a 930 % profit), and missed a subsequent rise that would have valued the sold tokens at over $2.7 million. The episode highlights the extreme volatility and speculative nature of newly issued memecoins, especially when launched on a secondary layer like the Robinhood Chain.
Analysts note that such rapid gains are possible only for a tiny fraction of participants; most investors who entered at the same time saw their tokens lose value. The token’s thin liquidity means large sell orders can sharply depress the price, underscoring the high risk for new buyers.
