Casino Royale to return to theaters for 20th anniversary

Amazon MGM Studios has announced that the James Bond film ‘Casino Royale’ will return to theaters worldwide this October to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The re-release features a new 4K restoration scanned from the original negative and a remixed audio track.

Originally released in 2006, the film marked the beginning of Daniel Craig’s five-film tenure as 007, a period credited with revitalizing the franchise through a grittier, more grounded approach. The theatrical return coincides with ongoing industry speculation regarding the casting of the next James Bond, with reports suggesting screen tests and casting decisions are currently underway.
