Casio announces limited-edition G-SHOCK MR-G 30th anniversary model

Casio has announced the MRG-B2100HR-1A, a limited-edition timepiece from its premium G-SHOCK MR-G series, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the MR-G line. Created in collaboration with foil artist Hiroto Rakusho, the watch features a three-dimensional lattice dial inspired by the traditional Japanese architectural technique of ‘kigumi’.

Each dial is hand-decorated with ‘sunago’, a powdered platinum foil, ensuring that every piece possesses a unique appearance. The design integrates traditional craftsmanship with advanced technology, utilizing ultra-short pulse laser structural color technology to create textures on the bezel and bracelet that change color depending on the viewing angle.

The watch is constructed from high-hardness materials, including Cobarion, DAT55G, and 64 titanium. It includes features such as a Tough Solar charging system, Bluetooth connectivity, and radio wave reception. The model is limited to 800 units worldwide and is priced at 1.1 million yen, with a scheduled release date of November 13, 2026.
