Casio announces new G-SHOCK GST-W1000 metal watch

Casio Computer Co., Ltd. has announced the release of the GST-W1000, a new addition to its G-STEEL line of G-SHOCK shock-resistant watches. The timepiece features a multi-component construction designed to highlight metal textures through various finishing techniques, including straight hairline, circular hairline, mirror polishing, and honing.

The watch utilizes a new exterior design that combines four distinct metal components and conceals side mounting screws to create a seamless visual transition from the bezel to the bracelet. The dial is produced at the Yamagata Casio factory using nano-processing technology to create a three-dimensional geometric texture with radial patterns.

For timekeeping, the GST-W1000 is equipped with the TOUGH MVT. 2 movement. This technology is designed to detect external disturbances such as impacts and magnetic fields, allowing for automatic self-regulation of the hands to ensure precision.
