Casio expands G-SHOCK line with slim Carbon Core Guard and nano ring models
Casio is expanding its G-SHOCK line with two distinct product approaches focusing on specialized form factors.
The GA-2100 model utilizes a "Carbon Core Guard" concept, featuring an internal frame made of carbon-reinforced resin. This design allows for a thinner 11.8 mm case, intended to improve everyday wearability under shirt cuffs while maintaining shock resistance and 200-meter water resistance. It features an analog-digital display, world time, stopwatch, timer, and five daily alarms.
Additionally, Casio has introduced the DWN-5600, a miniaturized "nano" version of the classic 5600 digital watch designed to be worn on the finger. Despite its small scale, the ring-style watch remains shockproof and water-resistant up to 20 bar. The device includes a six-digit LCD for time, calendar, and dual time, along with an LED backlight and a stopwatch. The DWN-5600 is constructed using bio-based resin and is available in black, red, and yellow.
