Pokémon marks 30th anniversary with new trading card set and G‑Shock watch

The Pokémon Company announced the launch of the “30th Celebration” trading‑card expansion on 16 September 2026. The set introduces a new “Futuristic Rare” card tier, holographic cards and includes 30 different rare Pikachu cards. Products announced for the expansion comprise Elite Trainer Boxes, Poster Collections, Tech Sticker Collections, Pokémon‑ex Boxes, Mini‑Tins, Binder Collections, Booster Bundles and Battle Decks. Digital access to the cards begins a day early via Pokémon TCG Live on 15 September 2026 at 19:00.

In parallel, Casio’s G‑Shock brand released a special‑edition GA‑110PKM watch to commemorate the franchise’s three‑decade milestone. The watch features Pokémon‑themed colour accents, a Poké Ball‑shaped case, and band graphics showcasing all 30 anniversary Pokémon. It ships in a Poké Ball‑style box and is priced at €239 in Germany, $220 in the United Kingdom and $270 in the United States, with a lottery‑only launch in Japan. Both the card expansion and the watch are positioned as collectible items for long‑time fans and new collectors alike.
