Casoria Calcio forced to play in Cardito as San Mauro stadium renovations stall
The Stadio San Mauro in Casoria remains closed due to delays in necessary renovation works. While the pitch has been cleaned, the essential upgrades required to meet federal standards for the Eccellenza regional championship have not yet begun.
As a result, Casoria Calcio is currently forced to play its home matches at the 'Papa' stadium in Cardito as a temporary solution. The management of San Mauro was entrusted to a temporary association composed of ASD Casoria and ASD Volla, with a contract requiring the pitch to be rebuilt within the first year of management. ASD Casoria, which holds the majority stake in the management company, is owned by the Correale brothers, who also serve as the sporting director and coach for Casoria Calcio.
