Cassa Depositi e Prestiti signs investment agreements in Riyadh
Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) has signed two memoranda of understanding in Riyadh to strengthen economic ties between Italy and the Gulf region. Following a roadshow through Doha, Abu Dhabi, and Jeddah, the Italian financial institution finalized agreements with the Saudi National Development Fund and the Federation of Saudi Chambers.
The agreement with the National Development Fund focuses on supporting Italian industrial investments within Saudi Arabia. It aims to facilitate the entry of Italian companies, including small and medium-sized enterprises, into local production chains using tools provided by CDP and Simest. The partnership also explores the creation of thematic funds and the co-financing of projects in third countries, with a specific emphasis on Africa.
The second memorandum with the Federation of Saudi Chambers is designed to support direct business engagement. It promotes the CDP Business Matching platform to connect Italian and Saudi companies for commercial, industrial, and financial collaborations. This initiative seeks to help Italian firms capitalize on major upcoming projects in Saudi Arabia, such as Expo 2030 Riyadh.
