Italy announces various local welfare and family support measures
Various Italian local and professional entities have announced new welfare and social support measures for families and students.
Cassa geometri has allocated 5.5 million euros for its members' families. The funds will support educational expenses, childcare, and merit-based scholarships for students through 2026. Eligibility is tied to specific ISEE income thresholds.
In Grosseto, the municipality has introduced a 35% reduction in the variable portion of the TARI waste tax for families with an ISEE up to 12,000 euros who include unemployed individuals, those on redundancy schemes, or pensioners. A deadline extension for documentation has been set for October 31, 2026.
Additionally, families within the Ambito Territoriale Sociale 21 can access 300 euro grants to support childbirth or assist families in economic difficulty with educational and sporting materials. These grants are available for residents with an ISEE below 13,500 euros, with increased support for families with severely disabled minors.
