Cassette Week Market 2026 to be held in Tokyo

The Cassette Week Market 2026 is scheduled to take place on October 12 at the WPÜ HOTEL SHINJUKU in Tokyo. Organized by the Cassette Week Japan Secretariat, the event aligns with the global Cassette Week celebrations held annually in the third week of October.

The market will feature over 20 shops specializing in cassette tapes and related goods. The venue will include a cafe on the first floor and a permanent drink counter on the second floor, alongside DJ performances featuring cassette and analog record specialists.

A new lounge area will host a collaborative workshop with KIDS MUSIC PARK, a music project operated by Universal Music LLC focused on supporting child-rearing. The workshop, themed “TRACE ‒ Following the Footsteps,” will offer programs centered on the experience, revival, and culture of cassette tapes. As a commemorative gesture, the first 50 workshop attendees will receive a specially designed cassette tape featuring the KIDS MUSIC PARK character, Chūzaburō.
