Cassino residents face prolonged blackouts and generator issues

Residents and business owners in Cassino are facing prolonged electricity shortages, with some areas experiencing blackouts for at least ten days. To address the issue, the energy provider has deployed a large diesel generator to supply power to the affected central areas, including Corso della Repubblica and Via Donizetti.

However, the solution has introduced new complications. Residents report significant noise pollution and exhaust fumes from the generator. Furthermore, intermittent power supply occurs when the generator runs out of fuel, leading to frequent power drops. These fluctuations have reportedly caused damage to household appliances, such as air conditioners and television decoders, and have resulted in economic losses for local businesses that rely on a stable power supply.
