University of Cassino students injured in tree collapse

Two students at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio were injured after a large tree collapsed near the Engineering building on via Gaetano Di Biasio. The victims were treated at the Santa Scolastica Hospital.

University Rector Marco Dell’Isola reported that the students' conditions have improved and are currently not considered critical. The Rector visited the students and their families at the hospital to offer support.

The university's technical and security sectors have launched investigations to determine the exact dynamics and causes of the incident. Italian Minister of University and Research Anna Maria Bernini contacted the Rector to express solidarity and offer ministerial support.
