Cast of A Diarista updates years after series success

The cast of the successful Brazilian comedy series ‘A Diarista’ has seen diverse career paths in the years following its original broadcast on TV Globo.

Lead actress Cláudia Rodrigues, who played the protagonist Marinete, has been away from television since 2014 to manage her battle with multiple sclerosis, a chronic condition she has faced since 2000. Meanwhile, actress Dira Paes, who portrayed Solineuza, has established a prominent career in both television and Brazilian cinema, appearing in productions such as ‘Salve Jorge’ and the ‘Pantanal’ remake.
