Cast of Cool Runnings updates their careers decades after film release

Cool Runnings Leon Robinson Jamaican bobsled team Disney film cast

More than three decades after the 1993 Disney classic Cool Runnings, the film's cast members continue to pursue diverse careers in entertainment. The movie, loosely based on the real-life Jamaican bobsled team's journey to the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Canada, remains a popular sports comedy.

Leon Robinson, who portrayed team captain Derice Bannock, has maintained an active career in both film and music. Following the film, Robinson appeared in projects such as Above the Rim, The Five Heartbeats, and The Temptations. He also performs with his band, Leon & The Peoples, and recently starred in the courtroom thriller Wildcards.
