Cast of ‘Matching TRUE LOVE’ hold promotional event in Tokyo

Cast members of the upcoming film ‘Matching TRUE LOVE’ held a promotional event in Tokyo ahead of its release on the 25th. The film is a love survival thriller and a sequel to the 2024 movie ‘Matching,’ centered on characters played by Tao Tsuchiya and Daisuke Sakuma.

During the event, Tao Tsuchiya praised Daisuke Sakuma, describing him as a ‘Showa-era star’ due to his generosity on set. She revealed that despite his busy schedule, Sakuma provided full course dinners for the entire cast and staff during filming on Kume Island to boost morale.

Yuki Kura also participated in the discussion, where Sakuma noted Kura’s extensive background in various part-time jobs, such as working in fish cake factories and moving services. Sakuma remarked that such diverse experiences are beneficial for acting and understanding the efforts of production staff.
