Cast of ‘Watashi no Shiranai Kodomotachi’ holds Tokyo stage greeting

Cast members of the upcoming film ‘Watashi no Shiranai Kodomotachi’ (The Children I Do Not Know) gathered in Tokyo on October 5 for a pre-release stage greeting. Directed by Miwa Nishikawa, the original story is set in post-war Japan and follows a girl who hides her gender to survive and a teacher searching for her.

The film features a double lead performance by newcomer Ami Oyae, who was selected from 500 auditionees, and veteran actress Fumi Nikaido. During the event, Oyae discussed her decision to shave her head for the role, noting it made drying her hair easier during the summer shoot.

Cast members including Junichi Okada, Koji Yakusho, and Yutaka Takenouchi also participated in the talk session. Okada shared humorous anecdotes about his interactions with the child actors, while Oyae lightheartedly teased her veteran co-stars during a segment of the event.
