Casta Diva Spalato opera competition holds final in Split

The second edition of the Casta Diva Spalato international competition for young opera singers is taking place in Split. Following two days of competition held at the Ive Tijardović Concert Hall, the event will culminate in a final Gala concert on Friday, September 25, at the Hrvatski dom Split.

Between eight and twelve finalists are expected to perform operatic arias before an international expert jury. In addition to the professional panel, the audience will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite performer to receive the ‘Mihovil Karuza’ audience award. The competition, founded and directed by maestro Jure Bučević, aims to introduce a new generation of operatic talent to a wider audience. Admission to the final concert is free, with tickets available at the Hrvatski dom Split box office.
