Castagna Milano unveils Alfa Romeo Giulia roadster concept

Italian coachbuilder Castagna Milano has revealed a concept for a bespoke two-door roadster based on the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA and Quadrifoglio. The project aims to revive the spirit of classic open-top grand tourers by transforming the high-performance sedan into a two-seater convertible.

A key design feature is the relocation of the cabin approximately 330mm rearward, creating a classic long-nose, short-deck proportion. The concept utilizes lightweight carbon fiber for much of the bodywork, which could reduce the vehicle's weight to approximately 1,420kg. The design incorporates a fabric soft top and a specialized glass-binding technology for the canopy.

While not currently a mass-production model, Castagna Milano stated that the vehicle can be hand-built as a one-off custom project should a collector provide the necessary funding and formal order. The powertrain would retain the Ferrari-derived 2.9L V6 twin-turbo engine, delivering up to 540 PS in the GTA configuration.
