Castel Volturno hit-and-run investigation launched after fatal accident

Authorities in Castel Volturno are searching for a truck driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run on the Domiziana state road. Around 3:00 AM, an unidentified man was struck by a heavy vehicle while attempting to cross the road heading toward Mondragone.

Preliminary investigations suggest the driver did not stop to provide assistance and fled the scene. The victim's body remained on the roadway for a period of time, during which it was subsequently struck by other passing vehicles. Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage from along the highway to identify the vehicle and the driver involved.
