Castelfidardo hosts grand finale of International Accordion Award

The 51st edition of the International Accordion Award (Premio Internazionale di Fisarmonica) in Castelfidardo is approaching its grand finale. The event recently honored Pino Di Modugno with a lifetime achievement award at the Teatro Astra, presented by Mayor Roberto Ascani.

The final day of the festival includes several scheduled activities. These include free instrument lessons at the Soprani civic music school, a presentation by musicologist Paolo Picchio titled ‘Bandoneon e Bandoneonisti’ at the municipal library, and a creative reuse workshop at the Seicento22 artistic hub. Musical performances are also scheduled in Piazza della Repubblica, featuring Scottish accordionist Gary Blair and Tiziano Chiappelli, whose repertoire spans jazz, tango, and classical music.
