Italian towns host a series of children‑focused cultural events

In Recanati, the municipal administration launched the weekly “Loggia dei Piccoli Mercanti” market for children aged 5‑14, running every Monday from 13 July to 27 July (17:30‑21:30). Young participants set up stalls to sell or barter toys, books and small items, with a price cap of €5, while volunteers read aloud during a shared reading hour.

The Castelfiorentino public library began its “Fuori Luogo” summer programme on 16 July, offering outdoor literary walks for children aged 5‑10 accompanied by an adult. The walks start at the library, continue to the nearby Pieve, and include animated story readings.

Across the province of Varese, the FAI summer evenings run from July to September, providing families with guided twilight tours of historic villas, picnics, live music, and astronomy sessions such as “Astronomi per una notte” with observations from the Schiaparelli Observatory.

At the Versiliana Festival in Pietrasanta, the “Il Gatto con gli Stivali. Ma…?” theatre show for children aged 3 and up was staged on 15 July, preceded by a creative workshop. Tickets cost €10 for adults and €7.50 for children, with free entry for those under three.
