Castelfranco Emilia implements tablets to aid communication accessibility

The “Comunicare per tutti” initiative has introduced three tablets in Castelfranco Emilia to improve communication between citizens and public service operators. Donated by the Pio Istituto dei Sordi di Milano, the devices have been distributed to the municipal citizen service desk, Farmacia del Forte, and Farmacia Le Magnolie.

The tablets utilize two primary tools to assist users: real-time speech-to-text transcription for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, and Google Translate for foreign language speakers. These tools aim to foster greater autonomy and clarity when accessing administrative services and pharmaceutical assistance.
