Castelfranco Emilia inaugurates Michela Murgia anti-violence center
The Unione del Sorbara municipalities have officially inaugurated a new anti-violence center in Castelfranco Emilia, named in honor of Michela Murgia. Located within Parco Cà Ranuzza, the center has been operational since last July and serves as a primary hub alongside listening desks in Bomporto and Nonantola.
Managed by the Associazione Casa delle Donne contro la violenza ODV, the service provides support, listening, and assistance for women seeking to escape violent situations. The center offers specific operating hours throughout the week, including mornings on Mondays and Thursdays, and afternoons on Wednesdays and select Fridays.
The inauguration ceremonies included institutional greetings and readings in Bomporto and Nonantola, concluding with a screening of the short film ‘Le carte raccontano: 35 anni contro la violenza’ by Valentina Arena in Castelfranco Emilia.
