Castellammare del Golfo launches school canteen service

The school canteen service in Castellammare del Golfo has commenced for the 2026/2027 school year, serving 275 students across the “Don Bosco”, “Falcone-Borsellino”, and “Francesco Crispi” school complexes. This represents a 10 percent increase in participation compared to the previous year.

At the “Francesco Crispi” complex, meals for 67 students will be prepared in-house, while 64 students will use an external canteen service. For the “Don Bosco” and “Falcone-Borsellino” complexes, the service covers 144 students.

Costs for families are determined by ISEE levels, ranging from a minimum of 2.50 euros to a maximum of 4 euros per meal. Local officials stated that the early start of the service aims to provide immediate support to families during the initial weeks of the school year.
