Castellammare del Golfo to represent Sicily on Rai 3

Castellammare del Golfo has been selected as the sole representative of Sicily for the Rai 3 television program ‘Il Borgo dei Borghi’, a show dedicated to showcasing Italy’s most charming villages.

Filming is scheduled to take place in Castellammare del Golfo on September 8 and 9. Local officials, including Mayor Giuseppe Fausto and Culture and Tourism Councilor Giovanni D’Aguanno, have invited citizens, associations, and visitors to gather at the Villa Comunale Regina Margherita on Tuesday, September 8, starting at 17:30, to participate in the event.

Segments featuring the participating villages will begin airing on Rai 3 on Sunday afternoons starting October 18. A public vote to determine the winner is expected to take place in the spring, and officials are encouraging residents to register on RaiPlay to prepare for the competition.
