Castellammare political group calls for strategic development pact

The political group Base Popolare Democratici e Progressisti has issued an open letter calling for a unified strategic dialogue among progressive forces, institutions, and social organizations in Castellammare. The group aims to move beyond mere emergency management to safeguard strategic projects and prevent the loss of public resources.

The appeal addresses the deep institutional wounds caused by the dissolution of the City Council due to organized crime infiltration. The group emphasizes that while the past must be addressed with transparency and legality, the current period of administrative receivership should not lead to stagnation. Instead, they propose using this time to rebuild administrative efficiency and development through a formal ‘Agreement for Castellammare’ in coordination with the Campania Region.
