Castelli d’Aria organ festival celebrates 20th anniversary

The 'Castelli d’Aria' organ festival is launching its 20th edition, beginning with an inaugural concert in Mondolfo on Sunday, October 11. Curated by maestro Giovannimaria Perrucci for the association 'Il Laboratorio Armonico', the itinerant festival aims to promote the musical heritage of historical organs throughout the region.

The opening event will take place at 18:15 in the Collegiata di Santa Giustina. Maestro Andrea Trovato, a professor at the 'Cherubini' Conservatory in Florence, will perform music from the Tuscan region specifically adapted for the church’s 'Callido' organ. The program will also include works by composer Francesco Feroci, following Trovato’s recent recording of the composer's music.

Additionally, the Filarmonica Gioachino Rossini is hosting the eighth edition of its 'Guida all’ascolto' series in Pesaro on October 11. Led by conductor and first cellist Antonio D’Antonio, the session titled 'Il suono del gesto' will explore the non-verbal communication between conductors and orchestras.
