Castelli expands Espresso line with new transition cycling gear

Castelli has expanded its Espresso product line to target the ‘transition’ period between summer and winter cycling conditions. The new collection is designed for temperatures ranging from approximately 8 to 25 ºC, aiming to bridge the gap between lightweight summer gear and heavy winter equipment.

Key additions include the Espresso Thermal Bibshort, designed for temperatures between 10 and 18 ºC. This garment features a brushed, fleece-like interior fabric to provide insulation while maintaining elasticity. It utilizes a slightly longer front construction for increased coverage and a tapered design behind the knee to prevent fabric bunching during pedaling. The item weighs 222 grams and is priced at €170.

For colder conditions between 8 and 16 ºC, the brand introduced the Espresso TRNSTN Bibtight. This full-length option utilizes Doppio fabric and the Progetto X2 Air seamless chamois. Other updates to the line include the Espresso 2 Vest gilet and new color options for the LS Jersey.
