Castelli Romani Regional Natural Park exhibition opens in Genzano di Roma

An exhibition dedicated to the history and creation of the Castelli Romani Regional Natural Park is being held throughout September at the municipal library in Genzano di Roma. The exhibition highlights the efforts of local citizens, naturalists, and scholars who fought for the park's establishment in 1984 to combat urban sprawl, pollution, and habitat destruction.

Organizers noted that the park remains under significant pressure from land consumption, construction interests, and environmental threats, including a proposed incinerator and declining lake levels. The event serves to commemorate the original founding committee and address current ecological challenges facing the territory.
