Italy water services: Public stations reopen and free periods extended

Various municipalities in Italy are reporting updates regarding local water services, including the reopening of public water stations and the extension of free service periods.

In Castellina in Chianti, the Casina dell’Acqua dei Macelli has reopened following the replacement of an unit damaged by lightning. The new system provides free natural water, while sparkling water is available for 5 cents per liter, with a free trial period for sparkling water lasting until September 22. Similarly, in Jesi, the free distribution of water at several local stations has been extended until August 31.

In Pontinia, the “Casa dell’Acqua” on via Fratelli Bandiera has resumed operations after maintenance to electrical systems and refrigeration units. The facility offers water at 6 cents per liter for still water and 7 cents per liter for sparkling water.
