Castellón authorities approve cultural and traditional event subsidies

The Diputación de Castellón has approved several funding initiatives to promote cultural activities and traditions across the province.

A total of 300,000 euros has been allocated to support large-scale cultural events. This funding is directed toward private entities and self-employed professionals for projects including performing arts such as music, dance, and theater, as well as art exhibitions, book fairs, and literary awards. To qualify, activities must be completed before the end of the year and have a budget exceeding 10,000 euros.

Additionally, the institution has granted 150,000 euros to 166 bullfighting associations and clubs. These funds are intended to support the 'Bous al Carrer' traditions and broader bullfighting culture, including festivals, publications, and exhibitions. President Marta Barrachina noted that these subsidies aim to preserve local traditions while acting as a driver for tourism and economic activity within the province's municipalities.
